Shawn W. Masters, a native of Boone County, Kentucky, has been a resident of Covington, Kentucky since 1997. Shawn is a graduate of the University of Kentucky. With a degree in finance and business management, he spent over ten years in the banking industry before leaving to pursue a career as the Chief Financial Officer of a wireless communications company. In November 2003, after more than three years as CFO, Masters left the company and began plans for launching The Merlot Group, a Covington-based graphic design/marketing firm. In addition to The Merlot Group, he is a partner in Noah's Art, Inc.(Hair salons), Village Gifts KY (a Kentucky Proud merchant/gift shop) and S.W. Masters & Co, LLC (a real estate investment partnership). Shawn has been involved in real estate investing since 2002. Additionally, he is involved in several civic minded organizations and also served as a Covington City Commissioner from 2009 - 2012.
